Terms of service
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
Guided Sites is operated by Guided Sites Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17410089) of 21 Broadhinton Road, London, SW4 0LU ("we", "us"). These terms form the contract between us and you when you subscribe. By subscribing you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not subscribe.
2. The service
We generate a one-page website from the information you enter into our form, using one of our templates, and we host it for as long as your subscription runs. Your subscription includes hosting, your choice of template, publication on a guidedsites.com address, and unlimited edits to your text and photographs through the form.
We may improve, alter or replace templates and features over time. If a change materially reduces what you receive, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.
3. Fees and billing
The core plan is £24 per month, or £240 per year. There is no minimum term. Payment is taken in advance on the same date each month or year until you cancel. Guided Sites Ltd is not currently VAT registered, so no UK VAT is added to these prices. If that changes we will give you notice before it affects your bill.
Our service is a digital service. For customers outside the UK, local tax such as VAT or GST may be added to your price at checkout, worked out from your billing address. We use Stripe to calculate, collect and pay that tax on our behalf. The amount shown before you pay does not include it, and the checkout shows the total before you confirm.
Where we offer your local currency (currently US, Canadian and Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars and euros), prices are shown and charged in that currency at the equivalent local price displayed at checkout. Otherwise you are charged in pounds sterling and your bank or card provider sets the exchange rate. Your subscription always renews in the currency you first paid in.
Optional add-ons are charged as shown at the point you select them: a custom domain (£25 setup + £15/yr to register a new .co.uk, .uk or .com domain, other endings are priced on request, or £25 setup only to connect a domain you already own), and troubleshooting support (a monthly charge).
If we register a domain for you, you are its legal owner. We manage and renew it on your behalf for £15 a year. If you leave Guided Sites, we'll transfer the domain to you or your new provider free of charge. If we don't hear from you within 30 days of your site being taken down, the domain will be allowed to expire at its next renewal date.
We may change our prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next renewal. If you do not want to pay it, cancel before that date.
If a payment fails we will try again and email you. Your website stays online for the period you have already paid for; if the payment is still outstanding when that period ends, your site is suspended until it is settled.
4. Your right to cancel
Because you will normally want your site live straight away, we begin the service during that period with your agreement. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we may charge a proportionate amount for the days the service was supplied. If you ask us to register a domain on your behalf, that cannot be undone once registered and is not refundable.
After the 14 days you may cancel at any time. Your subscription, and your website, run until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months.
5. Your content, and what you are responsible for
You keep ownership of everything you give us, your words, photographs, logo and testimonials. You grant us a licence to store, reproduce and publish that content for the purpose of running your website, and that licence ends when your subscription does.
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload, including photographs, and that you have permission from anyone whose testimonial or image appears.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what your site says about you. That includes your qualifications, registrations, professional body membership, insurance and any claims about your services. If your profession is regulated, meeting your regulator's advertising and conduct rules is your responsibility, not ours. We do not check or verify these things.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Guided Sites to publish anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or infringing someone else's rights; to make claims that break advertising rules; or to interfere with the service or others' use of it. If you do, we may suspend or remove your site. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will contact you first.
7. Templates and our intellectual property
The templates, the generator and the Guided Sites name and branding belong to us. Your subscription gives you a licence to use a template for your own website while you subscribe. It does not transfer ownership, and you may not copy, resell or redistribute a template.
8. Domains
Where you buy a domain through us, we register it on your behalf and you are its owner. You are free to transfer it to another provider. Domains are provided through third parties on their own terms, and we are not responsible for their failures, though we will help you deal with them.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep your site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Hosting is provided through Lovable Cloud, and maintenance, outages or faults on their side are outside our control. Support requests are answered within one working day. Troubleshooting beyond that is available as a paid add-on.
10. Our liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of bookings or loss of data, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
11. Ending the agreement
You may cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. We may end the agreement on 30 days' notice, or immediately if you break these terms seriously or repeatedly. When the agreement ends your website is taken offline. We keep your content for six months in case you return, then delete it, so export anything you want to keep before you cancel.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a material change takes effect, and you may cancel if you do not accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
